Ascend Advent 2022 Day 18: Be Ready to Listen to Outsiders
Christmas is for all people, near and far. The religious leaders in Jerusalem thought they knew it all, but suddenly some foreigners arrived with news that turned their world upside down. Herod and his advisors had no idea Jesus had been born until the Magi arrived, they had completely overlooked the significance of this massive new star in the sky.

"After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, 'Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.'" Matthew 2:1-2
