Ascend Advent 2022 Day 19: No One is Too Small or Too Insignificant for God to Use
Bethlehem is about to become famous. In today’s verse, Herod’s advisors dig up a quote from the Old Testament prophet Micah, as if suddenly re-remembering the existence of this little town. Sure, it’s been mentioned in the Bible before, but it was still a small, rather insignificant place. But the Christmas story is all about God using the insignificant to do incredible things.
Today's Scripture
"But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel." Matthew 2:6; quoting Micah 5:2
Key takeaway for the day:
"But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel." Matthew 2:6; quoting Micah 5:2
Key takeaway for the day:
We don’t have to be important for God to use us; we simply have to be willing.
