Ascend Advent 2022 Day 24: Be Ready to go with Plan B or Plan C
Plan A rarely works out. We don’t often get exactly what we want, when we want, how we want. The Christmas story has its fair share of twists and turns. Plan A for Joseph was to live in Nazareth with his wife-to-be Mary, make a living as a carpenter and raise a God-fearing family. Most of us can relate to that in our dreams for family and career. But it was not to be.
Today's Scripture
"When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. 'Get up,' he said, 'take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him'...But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee, and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets, that he would be called a Nazarene." Matthew 2:13, 22-23
Key takeaway for the day:

No matter how much life twists and turns, God is still working out His good plan for you.
