Ascend Advent 2022 Day 5: Respond with Faith
Yesterday we looked at Mary’s response to the angel when he told her she would give birth to the Son of God, and how much better it was than Zechariah’s response to his own visitation. Having been told that she will conceive a divine child, Mary’s first reaction was a sincere ‘how’ – a fairly reasonable thing to ask given the unique nature of God’s plan.

"I am the Lord's servant,' Mary answered. 'May your word to me be fulfilled.' Then the angel left her." Luke 1:38
“The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.” (Luke 1:35)
