Ascend Advent 2022 Day 9: Redemption Has Come
Advent is a time to praise God, to remember all the wonderful things He has done for us. Zechariah had been speechless since his less-than-faith-filled encounter with the angel months ago, but now, when he confirms John as the name of his baby boy, his lips are opened and a song of praise gushes forth. With his first words he chooses to praise God: ‘Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel…’ (v. 68)
