Lest We Forget
This episode will be released on 11th November 2023, Armistice Day. So to commemorate that and show our appreciation to the British Armed Forces we are privileged to be talking with Padre Antony Wilson.
Instead of our usual episode ending, this week Antony will read The Exhortation (see below) after which we will play the traditional Last Post.
That is followed by two minutes of silence, broken by a Reveille and The Kohima Epitaph (below).

You don't HAVE to listen to this but it will take you just a few minutes so why not use it to explore the silence highlighted by Antony and honour those to whom we owe our freedom. And why not pray for those we hear about every day who are suffering in war-torn areas of the world.
The Exhortation:
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
The Kohima Epitaph:
When you go home, tell them of us and say,
For your tomorrow, we gave our today.
For your tomorrow, we gave our today.
THE FUTURE OF ASCEND POD
76 episodes | Over 5,000 downloads | 36 different countries
A year in to the Ascend Podcast we ARE making an impact.
If we're to continue the trajectory we need help in TWO different areas.
Firstly, we're moving towards a mini-series format where we bunch together episodes covering a specific theme such as Health & Fitness, forgiveness, sport, tech and even DIY.
To make this work we need guests.
Men (AND women) who we can interview who have something to say on various topics.
Many of you will know somebody who has a story or a specific passion who fits the bill.
Perhaps an old school friend, somebody in your village, a voice you heard on the radio or even somebody who is already podcasting on a topic.
Whatever they're into, we need to know about them.
The second ask is for YOU to consider whether YOU could be on the team producing this great content.
Currently we're operating with a team that you could count on the toes of a rhinoceros foot.
We need researchers, interviewers, editors, writers.
For both the above, please email ascend@thec3.uk

WHAT IS ASCEND MEN?
Imagine a community of men who are challenged, inspired and equipped to live passionate lives for Jesus. A place where men-care-for-men through a small number of honest personal relationships initiated and supported by regular male-oriented events. Relationships are built shoulder-to-shoulder doing stuff in preference to eye-balling each other!

Ascend Men is that community.
Our podcasts reflect that desire to challenge, inspire and equip our men. Some are light-hearted easy-listens. Some deserve to be digested and pondered. If you love them, tell us - we could do with the encouragement. If you can see ways they could be improved, tell us - feedback is a gift.
